The map at aportee.ca is free. It gives walking and cycling times to every amenity across Canada, and transit times at the weekday morning peak. Sign up with your email for plus, which is also free and adds the features below and product updates.

Free map
Section titled “Free map”Every amenity in Canada, with one travel mode for the whole map. Transit uses the weekday morning peak. The map opens in light colours and shows travel times in minutes. No account is needed.
à portée plus is free with an email address: sign in with an email link, no password or card. It adds:
- A mode and time limit for each amenity. Walk, cycle or take transit to one amenity while another uses a different mode, including bike + transit, and set a time limit for each amenity.
- Transit at other times. Weekday night, Saturday midday or Sunday midday, and the choice between Typical (median) and Worst case (90th percentile) waits.
- Comparisons. Compare the map with another view, the same amenities in other modes, or another place, swiped or side by side. Modes can also be shown as a difference map. To compare a mode, shift-click it.
- Saved views and presets. Save a set of amenities as a preset, or a whole map as a view to come back to or share.
- Map styles. Four colour scales, four base map choices, satellite imagery and 3D terrain.
- Dark map. The map and its panels turn dark, easier on the eyes at night. Switch it on with the moon button at the top of the sidebar.
- Export the map as an image. Download it with a title, a legend and each amenity’s travel settings.
- Can-ALE and StatCan SAM. The two Statistics Canada map views.
à portée pro is CAD $20 a month, month to month. Cancel any time. It includes everything in plus, and adds:
- No car. Whether someone who no longer drives can reach everyday errands, at a chosen walking pace.
- Ratio. Compare two kinds of place: which is closer, and by how much.
- Landscape and Skyline. The map in 3D, showing access as ridges or towers.
- City sheets. A print-ready map of a municipality, with one panel per amenity.
à portée pro is for individuals. Paid or public-sector use, bulk and historical data, and custom analysis need a licence or agreement: get in touch.
